Michael Alan Hahn, 42 of Freeburg, IL passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017 at St. Louis University Hospital surrounded by his family.

Michael was born on August 9, 1974 in Wood River, IL. He was a truck driver for several trucking companies throughout the metro area and currently drove for Parrish Trucking in Freeburg. He was a proud Harley Davidson rider who would help anyone, especially veterans. If Michael saw a veteran in a restaurant, he would thank them for their service and buy them lunch. He was a member of the Patriot Guard and was very proud to help escort fallen veterans to their place of rest. Michael will be remembered for his generous heart and all the special times he shared with his family and friends.

He is survived by and will be missed by parents; Sandra (Magary) Hahn of Pontoon Beach, IL, Lester (Liz) Hahn of Cottage Hills, IL; his wife, Krysta (Kehrer) Hahn of Belleville, IL; his step children, Bailey Redden of Belleville, IL, Connor Redden of Belleville, IL, Delaney "Baby Girl" Redden of Belleville, IL, Devin Bernard of Belleville, IL; his sister, Tami (Eric) Zeugin of Granite City; his brother, John (Julie) Hahn of Granite City; his nephews, Jeffrey (Aarn) Thomason, Zachary Hahn; his niece, Breanna Reno; his grandparents, Ethel Magary, Geneva Tucker; his aunts, Gretta (Dave) Reames, Susannah Whorton and numerous cousins and many other extended family members and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his grandpa, Kenneth Magary.

In celebration of Michael's life, friends may call on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 3715 Wabash Ave. in Granite City with Pastor Alan Beuster officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery on Nameoki Road in Granite City. Memorials are suggested to Hope Lutheran Church or the Patriot Guard. Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City is serving the family.
